Kristen Ritchey, DVM

Dr. Kristen Ritchey grew up in Southern Pennsylvania in Bedford County. After high school, she attended undergrad at St. Francis University in Pennsylvania. After graduation, she went onto Veterinary School at Ohio State University where she graduated from in 2015. She started working at Always Compassionate Veterinary Care in 2019.

Dr. Ritchey’s favorite part of Veterinary Medicine is Surgery. She enjoys doing eyelid surgeries, repairing skin wounds, and removing skin masses. She says that these surgeries are a favorite because she can make her patients more comfortable and also maybe a little bit more beautiful then when they first came in!

Outside of work, Dr. Ritchey loves to spend time with her husband and son. She also has 2 rescue animals: An orange tabby cat named Julius (JuJu) and the sweetest, laziest pit-bull named Captain. Dr. Ritchey enjoys bike riding, reading, and watching true crime shows on Netflix.
