• Your pet must always be seen first in an office appointment. A complete medical history will be taken and a physical exam performed at that time. The surgical procedure can be discussed at this time.
  • All pets must be up to date on vaccinations before admittance to the clinic for surgery.
  • When the surgery is scheduled and confirmed, instructions will be given that all food and water be withheld after 10 pm the evening before surgery.
  • All pets are admitted to the clinic between 8 am and 8:15 am.
  • On the designated morning of surgery, owners should expect to spend a few minutes reviewing and signing the consent forms and pain medication requests with our receptionist/technician.
  • If pre-surgical blood tests are required, our in-hospital laboratory is equipped to perform these tests.
  • A staff member will call you after the procedure to let your know how your pet is doing and to arrange a pick-up time so a doctor can review the discharge instructions with you. We encourage you to carefully read these instructions and call if you have any questions or concerns regarding the after care of your pet.
